These maps display projected average annual temperatures under 2°C (3.6°F) and 3°C (5.4°F) of warming, compared to 1991-2020 climate normals. These projections were derived from the 6th phase of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Projects (CMIP6).††
As average temperature includes both daily highs and nightly lows across all months of the year, extreme temperatures will diverge greatly from this baseline.†
